I was limited to words, no links, and no possible to way to customize the look and feel of the blog - this was achieved by other parts of the site (not blogging). Blogger has enabled me to be able to express myself better and differently, giving me an online-blog presence using mainly words with relating images or video's.

A few peoples blog's I checked out were:
Chelsea Fowler
Jonathan Coats
Sam Atmore

Sites

I researched for a few bogs about ares of deign that interested me. Including Digital Media Design, Industrial Design and also blogs that involved information about areas of Design & Technology that i had a general interest in.

<a href="http://interactivemediadesign.blogspot.com/>
"http://interactivemediadesign.blogspot.com/
This blog had a bit of information on things that i'm interested in while also being based around Digital Media Design. It's a very easy-to-read blog - however, given it being for Digital Media, the presentation of the blog isn't really that great in comparison.

http://designcorner.blinkr.net/
Design Corner portrays an array of different industrial Designs and introduced them to the Digital Media world, mainly in its way of presenting the images of the designs. Also, boring headers and quotes have been brought to life using various Digital Media techniques. I really like this blog, i find it very interesting and easy to navigate around. Yet again, disappointing that another Digital Media Blog is unable to deliver a vibrant layout.

http://www.transformerdesign.co.nz/
Finally a New Zealand website!! Transformer Design is a Graphic & Wed Design firm, which i believe falls into the category of Digital Media. The site is easy to navigate around, and shows some great examples of design right from the first page.

A few other websites I found inspiring :
Hell's Pizza
Studi Ghibli
Dolce & Gabbana

Fluid Form

In this project, we were to explore the various "Fluid Forms" in the city and in our surroundings. From a list of precedents, i studied the work of Zakary Kinnaird focusing on his Yokohama Ferry Terminal as a basis for my fluid form idea. I experimented with Cardboard in my initial idea, but this material proved to have limited Fluidity options with the shape that i was trying to achieve. I tried to incorporate the main precedent (Yokohama Ferry Terminal) with its surrounding setting (the ocean) by shaping my Fluid Form in a similar shape as a shell. I made it using drafting film as it worked light, had good versatility and its bending restrictions were minimal. I sliced 5 evenly measured strips and taped them next to each other by the base and cut the tops so that each strip was a different length and folded them all to one point and attached this point back to the base I had created my Fluid Form.
